I didn't get the 2+ inches of rain the far north side of CR got, but the merging of the two lines really produced a nice storm here.  We initially got a 50+ mph gust (CR airport 63 mph) and then it was just a ton of lightning (only low rumbles, though) with solid wind and heavy rain.  It was one of the top two storms of the season.  I'm certainly satisfied.

beautiful spider lightning with the heavy stratiform rain this morning....really nice

Quite the light show out there. Got called in early to the office. We should have enough time to recover and destabilize later but question is how far north storms refire on remnant MCV moving from central IA currently to northern IL this afternoon.

Looks like the Minneapolis area finally got into some good storms.  Hope the crew from up there didn't lose power for too long if they did.

lost it in my part of St Paul from 630/645 to ~115 this morning. a 2-3" branch was down near my apt as well as several 1" ones. but south of me by ~1-2 miles near Front and Rice they had a 6" bough take down some power lines. and 67mph at Holman Field near downtown was impressive (~1-2 miles south of Front/Rice, like 3 from my place).

I also periscoped what I could for about 40-45 mins last night, and it should be available for replay.
