raindancewx
MJO is active once again, it is currently in phase 7 and should be in phase 2 by mid-April. Have to watch for cold in the SW and severe weather in the Plains and mid-south.
aggiegeog
The cold front is slowly advancing north still 40s in N TX with 70s and 80s in SE TX. E TX should see a line of strong storms tomorrow afternoon with temps falling from the mid 70s ahead of the front to 50s by evening and 30s by Wed morning. Thu morning could again see frost for NE TX. Temps then warm ahead of a strong front on Friday. Models show some hints of sleet Friday night along the Red River with a mix possible south of the River into N & NE TX.

The storms in central TX look to move south of my location robbing energy for storms that develop along the cold front and move southeastward towards me. The storms on the cold front seem to die as they reach my area. We'll see. It is very windy and warm outside, partly sunny.

The heavier convection stayed just to my south, and the storms that fired along the cold front fizzled out pretty quickly. Pretty amazing job on their part. cstrunk
We have a day 2 enhanced risk for a decent chunk of the mid-south for a strong to severe MCS expected to move through the region. Hail, wind, and isolated tornadoes in spin-ups along the line look possible.
aggiegeog
Strong storms today for N and E TX. Some sleet or freezing rain for N TX tonight and tomorrow. Gonna be a raw day tomorrow for my son's first baseball game.
cheese007
Enahnced risk extended westward, now covers a good chunk of Dallas proper. Don't like this emerging tradition of massive hail storms at least once a year
Drz1111
I think the triple point back in TX looks kind of interesting. Might stay out of the hair of the MCS and has access to some juicy, highly unstable air.
