jm1220
Back in Long Beach for this week-Very heavy rain again and frequent lightning. Street's flooded. We had some decent gusts with the storm that came through a half hour ago, probably over 30 mph.
MJO812
Wow these storms are insane. I was just driving on the belt parkway and it is flooded. Alot of stores near me are also flooded.
jm1220
We were definitely hit hard in Long Beach. Traffic lights are out near my house from lightning strikes, and numerous streets are flooded still-well over a foot of water on some. Probably a good number of basements also got flooded. Rtd208
Picked up a storm total of 1.08" of rain so far, may add a little more to that. Winds probably gusted over 40mph when the main line came through around 5:30pm with very heavy rain and a decent amount of thunder and lightning. Had alot of poor drainage flooding in my area due to the heavy rain with some tree branches down and minor power outages but nothing major. Current temp 74/DP 73/RH 95% High for the day was

Poker2015
So how is Saturday looking so far? Is it going to be a washout or a pop up thunderstorm in a few spots? I have a big party at my house that day/night for the Quick Check Balloon Festival.

The GFS and NAM are faster with the storm system and bring it in on Friday. Euro is slower and doesn't get here until the weekend.
