stormtrackertf
Real question for the Michiganders here, does KYIP cross the 100 degree mark today/tomorrow?
Brewers
Impressive dewpoint spread across southern MN this afternoon. Dew points have mixed out into the 40's in spots across the TC's with MSP reporting a 42F at 19z, while in RST it is 80F as of 20z... Very dry air noted above the shallow most layer on the 12z MPX sounding.

Powerball
Wow. Massive change on the 12z NAM with respect to Sunday here. In fact, here's what the 12z NAM shows for Detroit the next few days: Saturday - 97*F Sunday - 99*F Monday - 95*F

cyclone77
Up to 88/77/99. Pretty uncomfortable out there, but compared to yesterday it's a breath of fresh air lol. That MCS probably saved us from a '95 challenging scenario today.
Powerball
ORD has made it up to 90*F, while MDW has been sitting at 89*F for the past 3 hours (not sure if there's been an intra-hour 90*F).
A-L-E-K
looks like the next regional MCS getting going in northern SD
Powerball
I just noticed that DET had a michsnowfreak special yesterday, with an intra-hour high of 91*F (despite only several hourly observations of 88*F - 89*F).
Chitown Storm
Yeah it's been a weird day with the dew points. Temp just hit 95. Currently 95/60/95. Tomorrow could be a fun-filled day of convection. Cams signaling either a single or double line of severe storms.
cyclone77
MLI did in fact tag 90 today. Took all day to get there. Dews highest of the day atm. 78 here, Clinton, and Sterling. Cedar Rapids back over 80 again.
Chicago Storm
ORD with a late day rally to hit 90 after cloud debris cleared. High wasn't hit until around the 5PM OBS.

Jonger
That's why I don't put any stock in modern temps versus anything more than say, 40 years ago. At least in cities, record highs mean almost nothing. It's 68 in my backyard.
Jonger
Wowzers. That's a perfect overlay on top of the urban metroplex.
Powerball
BTW, with the potential of 6 consecutive 90*F+ days (through Monday) and 3 consecutive 95*F+ days (yesterday, today and Sunday), this also has potential to be the most extensive heatwave Detroit has seen since July 2011. Powerball
DTX issued another heat advisory for Detroit until 10pm tonight. It'll probably be extended for at least Sunday as well, depending on the extent of convection.
cyclone77
Massive cirrus canopy over Missouri Valley should help keep temps from getting too hot again for western portions of the sub. Point lowered to 88.

Chambana
Champaign county fair started yesterday, can only imagine how many drunk idiots who didn't hydrate properly and ate a bunch of fried food, start riding rides and puke out there. Its gonna be sizzling out there today.
weatherbo
Weak north winds will keep temps in the upper 70's today. Past couple days have been awful in the woods. So hot and humid. The skeeters swarm around like dog pecker gnats.

Chambana
Kind of figured temps would be father along than mid 80s by now, they've been on cruise control since 10AM.

cyclone77
87/79/100 here. Dew hit 80 earlier, and probably will again before afternoon is over. I've about had it with the near and above 80 degree dews.
