It sounds to me like the confluence may have been the killer in the other runs. From what tombo is saying it looks like the confluence gets out in time on the EURO because it's slower.

Agree...surface low is too far south and trough is too zonal over the Atlantic. We'd want some higher heights there.

EDIT: Maybe I spoke too soon, sounds like it's trying to turn the corner.
