jojo762
I like the Lyndon supercell a bit more than the Dixon one, more discrete, and less junk immediately around it.
SchaumburgStormer
I like the Lyndon supercell a bit more than the Dixon one, more discrete, and less junk immediately around it. Rotation a bit tighter on it too
Torchageddon
Another thing to factor in as well with the limited time for heating, temperatures won't be able to blast to 85-93 keeping those LCLs very low over a decently large area. Can you point me towards and source that explains that high temperatures (or surging temps?) keeps LCL's a bit higher? A little later over my local too. I saw the 90 sigtor in IN when it was first mentioned, a different location but at 2:00 am! And by the same token...if anything discrete gets into this, good night Irene. I love the vocabulary and phrases, like "thicket" the other day. As far as the storms initiating with severe warnings, why are they moving slowly instead of very quickly? Elevated means slower I guess?
jojo762
Storm NNE of DVN also looks interesting. A bit close to the radar, but looks nice on higher tilts.

HillsdaleMIWeather
Dixon cell going to need a tornado warning. They just reissued the Severe warning. EDIT: That was for the other east part of the county.

A-L-E-K
I'm wondering if all of these cells are elevated. The bases I've seen in pics look rather stable and it's always a question when we're dealing with a warm frontal setup. Yep
Stebo
I think that first cell needs a tornado warning now, rotation is there.
jojo762
These storms should get really cranking in an hour or two... Not in the absolute best environment right now, that'll change in a hurry though as they move ESE.

Hoosier
Sort of asking for it to extrapolate radar too far but for Chicago metro purposes, the one to watch looks like the cell east of Sterling. Should get into northern Will county or thereabouts after 8 pm.
jojo762
Assuming they don't grow upscale first. I'm still not sold on them staying discrete for long. Of course... I'm talking about overall, not just with the tornado threat. Three relatively discrete supercells as of now, all of which are likely slightly elevated for the time being. TheWeatherPimp
What's the hold up in issuing a TW? Last I saw they were asking for people on Twitter for pictures of the tornado. Not sure why they are having a problem issuing one.
Stebo
That back cell north of Princeton really needs a TW.
