gravitylover
Yeah I saw a significant shelf could with slow rotation near Pittsfield yesterday afternoon. You could hear the wind roaring up high and there were numerous mini funnels dropping down. As it headed towards the higher terrain of the Berks it faded pretty quickly but was neat to see. After it went through I was driving south on NY Rt 22 and the rain, lightning and wind were impressive, rained hard enough that traffic was down to under 20mph and you could barely see the car in front. tamarack
6 PM news had a pic of someone in Readfield (15 miles south of my place) holding a hailstone that looked about 2" in its longest dimension, and there was also a clip from Wayne, farther south, showing mothball-size hail ripping thru the leaves. No hail at home (of course), but TS at 4:30 and 10:30 PM, 1:30 AM, totaled 1.06" RA, most from the latter two. No winds to speak off and garden variety lightning, but first TS at home since Feb and we get 3.
andrewmac
Here's a few from yesterday's meh. Hardly any rain here at all just a few miles west of KDAW. The entire line seemed to hover over route 202 and just go back and forth North to South-ish for a bit before shifting into Maine.
