Have to say that models last night nailed what's occurring right now pretty well - with best stuff being on a track for north of DC. Maybe DC can get a tail end charlie ;)

No surprise there. My rule of thumb never fails. If it's cloudy at 10am still. It's a fail.

Full cloudy sky (been that way 95% of the day). Temp only 78.

When taking a look at the SPC Activity Chart,  as soon as the line reached the region under the enhanced box, the storms intensified.  I'm not worried...yet.

I think that's pretty interesting. The line has just gotten onto the ENH border. I'm expecting the line to go SVR pretty soon.

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR...  

WEST CENTRAL BALTIMORE COUNTY IN NORTHERN MARYLAND...  

CARROLL COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL MARYLAND...  

EASTERN WASHINGTON COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL MARYLAND...  

FREDERICK COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL MARYLAND...  

EAST CENTRAL JEFFERSON COUNTY IN THE PANHANDLE OF WEST VIRGINIA...  

 

* UNTIL 415 PM EDT  

 

* AT 312 PM EDT...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE  

EXTENDING FROM NEAR LONG MEADOW TO BOONSBORO TO RANSON...MOVING  

EAST AT 35 MPH. NUMEROUS TREES DOWN HAVE BEEN REPORTED IN AND  

AROUND HAGERSTOWN.  

 

HAZARD...60 MPH WIND GUSTS.  

 

SOURCE...RADAR INDICATED.  

 

IMPACT...DAMAGING WINDS WILL CAUSE SOME TREES AND LARGE BRANCHES  

TO FALL. THIS COULD INJURE THOSE OUTDOORS...AS WELL AS  

DAMAGE HOMES AND VEHICLES. ROADWAYS MAY BECOME BLOCKED BY  

DOWNED TREES. LOCALIZED POWER OUTAGES ARE POSSIBLE.  

UNSECURED LIGHT OBJECTS MAY BECOME PROJECTILES.

Wow...That's pretty strongly worded. Watch out for the bow-echos I guess. Winds must really come down.
