wxeyeNH
I made a time lapse from the webcam from early this morning to about 130pm today (Sunday). It is amazing to see how dynamic the atmosphere was today. Although winds were light I have never seen clouds moving in so many directions at once. Just all different directions! Definitely worth watching. https://video.nest.com/clip/9e32cec905b64924944bd5b47a5f653c.mp4

Hoping to score a nice thunderstorm like everyone else is getting. Is the boards running really slow with the upgrade or is it me???? Regarding the time lapse, I wouldn't have even made it since other than low clouds and passing showers not much was going on yesterday morning. Just for the heck of it, I did and wow, so much motions. It's only when you speed things up do you see how much is going on that we don't even realize! With severe weather possible later today maybe I can get a nice squall line moving through. It's my turn for a good downpour!

It's a little frustrating. I can't upload or edit my attachments on ios either. Yesterday was definitely a good day for a timelapse. Mine was good too although I obviously don't have the elevation and view you have. I kinda wish my Hiki was 3MP instead of 4MP so I could get a better view. I may get another one and make the 4MP a coop cam or something. The rain is definitely nice. I had 0.88" last weekend with the low 60s highs and another 0.10" midweek. So almost 2.5" fell while I was in Michigan.

Last year we had 5.5" in June then something in July (have to look it up). In comparison, this summer is why drier so far. I know the above is ancient history since you finally got some decent rain, but I find it surprising - your BY must've been the hole in the donut. June precip in stations all around Lava Rock (GYX, PWM, Windham, Poland, Sebago, Bridgton) ranged from 2.9" to 4.4". Don't have July numbers. Neighbor posted on FB about the central Maine tornado warning, then "It's pouring outside", followed shortly by "We got almost nothing." Good stuff stayed north, as our local anti-severe shield remained fully engaged.

It sits by a window and it got wet yesterday and that caused some weird USB computer error whereby the computer wasn't seeing the Davis. The Davis display indicated 1.01" yesterday morning while the software and what gets uploaded to my site only said 0.59". Then we got another 0.49" in the afternoon, yet software only indicated 0.60" total for the day. This may be an ongoing issue going back to who knows when. Suffice it to say, my rain data probably is questionable right now.

Maybe you should grab a Stratus just as a backup? Dry fropa today, every shower/storm craftily past to my north or south as usual. 1.38" remains my monthly total unless something pops up early evening as the atmosphere reloads. powderfreak
Very cool to see the TOR in northern Maine. There was definitely some scattered severe around...plenty of hail reports on social media from friends around the area, but then again not sure the size of the hail. Here's a photo I caught on the iPhone coming home from the gym this evening:
