Finally got myself a weather station; the Davis was a bit too much at this time, so I settled on the AcuRite PRO. Got very good reviews, and I'm happy with it so far though I need a better spot for it - it's very sheltered from the wind where it is. Just hooked it up today so I have little history on it. It's WUnderground ID  KNHCARRO4

Does that one have a fan? Which model number is it? I know some people with those have done some rigging to improve performance.

Great Alex.  Nestcam announced today that they are coming out with an outdoor version of their webcam.  High def picture, 130 view.  $199.  There are lots of cams out there now, probably for less money.  I really like having a cam so I can see what's going on when I'm not home and other board members can view too.

Well finally looks like a good T storm day.  Solid line heading into New England, high dews and should get in here before sunlight wanes.  We should all get into the action with at least a good heavy rain.  Webcam with timelapse all set too go!

I hope we get something decent rainwise. Seems like a quick moving front, so maybe 0.25" depending on location. That's not going to do much for the lawns and gardens. Sick of one day of showers then nothing for another week. We're pushing a year now with this semi-dry pattern.

Yeah line is moving very fast.  At least its a quick drink.  Last summer my pond went dry for the first time.  Well as of today it did it again!

Congrads to all those that got meaningful rain last evening.    .20" here.  Now at mid month and have had 1" in July.

How much since June 1st? Prior to last night, we've only had 1" since June 1. That's very dry. Last year we had 5.5" in June then something in July (have to look it up). In comparison, this summer is why drier so far.

Lava,  2.68" for June of which most feel in one storm early in the month.  1" for the first half of June.  2 pictures of my pond, first from the begining of growing season this spring and one from today, its gone! We have had just enough nickel and dime rainfalls to keep the surface damp enough for the grass to stay green.  All the foreground grass in the attached picture has been watered with our sprinklers so its holding its own.
