83F for my high today.  Had to drive to Boston and back.  Landscape is starting to look more like August with lots of browns.  Euro has about .30",  NAM about .25" and GFS around 1.00" during the next 48 hours for much of NH and Maine.  As it always seems to be lately Vermont does much  better.  Looking at the radar everything is just moving NNE and by the time it gets east it will be well after prime heating.

Beat goes on and on.  Even worse for SNE.

I'm guessing we'll get 0.1-0.25". Big whoop. I'm not watering anymore. Not worth it and can't keep up anyway

Pouring again Round one featured hail and about a half hour of heavy rain.

Seeing 0.5-2.2" on the local private weather stations in your area...should keep going for a while too.

Over here the local PWS are showing 0.6-1.1"...I'm assuming I'm near an inch so far as I was at 0.81" a half hour to an hour ago.

Funny how localized it can be...looking at the Mad River Valley there's like 0.3-2.4" depending on the station, all within a couple miles.

Someone in West Forks reported no rain today, but the next township north has 10"

North of me in Eden, VT the NWS Storm reports are showing a trained spotter with 4.8" of rainfall so far with 2.9" falling in 75 minutes.

Getting rain has been like pulling teeth lately and then you rattle off 5" in like 3 hours, lol. Doesn't matter how dry it's been that has to lead to some runoff issues.

Can't even imagine the 10"+ totals in ME.

Complain about dry weather, get a season's worth of rain in 8 hours.

I'd love to experience what ISP did a few years ago...

Wasn't that like 12" in a few hours in something?

Dry as bone here so far..nothing.

In April, I got 14" in four hours in Houston. Not fun... Car got minor flooding, city was mayhem for a week.

Flooding is the one natural disaster I have no use for, if that makes any sense.

ThE station across the street shops .6 since midnight and 1.6 before but the graphs seem very linear and the rate in the 7-8pm storm just seems way low. Nice channels were dug out in the driveway, I'll be doing some shoveling tonight.

Showers with some thunder 5 AM on had 0.38" in the gauge by cocorahs time, probably another couple of tenths after.  Co-worker with a camp on Grace Pond (Upper Enchanted Twp, 10 miles south of Jackman) reporting many roads washed out.  That area plus Bradstreet Twp just to the north had an area of estimated 10-12" with a couple 12-14" pixels.

Do those areas have power or are they off grid camps? How quick will they be able to repair roads? That's just an amazing amount of rain. Wonder if that breaks any records.

Off grid, though some campowners and any commercial sporting camps have generators.  If there are logging operations going on in that area (none at present on the public lands we manage there), repairs will commence as soon as the water goes down, as the equipment is relatively close at hand.

.35".   Brian you beat me again.  I got up and watched a band of oranges pass through and it looked like it past north of you and right through me but must have been more after that, I went back to bed.  Anyway better than the nickels and dimes of late.  This did a bit of good.   Maybe a bit more today.  Glad most everyone got more than me and some scored big time in Vermont!

Isn't your Davis on your house? Could the rain gauge be sheltered a bit? All of the totals up there seemed to be over a half inch.

Getting some -RA at home again, but it looks like it's going to crap out as it's just getting here...the convection looks better toward CON.
