uncle W
it was remarkable that NYC had the coldest July and August in over 100 years in such a record warm summer period since 2005. Really wild extreme to have 2009 followed by the warmest summer on record the very next year. Screen shot 2016-06-22 at 3.42.11 PM 06-03-34-311.png it was June and July 2009 that were cool...August was near average with the only heat wave of the year... Isotherm
I recall numerous days of 75-80F with dew points in the 40s/50s and overnight lows well down into the 50s in July 2009. Barely needed the A/C much of the month. Felt like September. Terrible for summer lovers.
JerseyWx
Anyone feeling explosions around my area? There was one at 5:00 am and now one just happened at about 11:00 am. They feel like explosions, almost like when they blast rock, and last about 2-3 seconds. It feels very similar to when we had all those earthquakes a few months back, except these are even louder and feel stronger.
