das
83.6F after a "low" of 80.1F here in Clarksburg. My nice, refreshing post cold front run this morning was neither nice or refreshing.

EastCoast NPZ
87F. Temp is struggling to rise. Very windy, and -unlike yesterday - today's wind actually provides relief.
87storms
impressive to have this kind of warmth with a breeze. normally when it gets to the 90 range, the air is stagnant.

This is very reminiscent of the plains. Many of our hottest days were accompanied by a good breeze.

MN Transplant
12Z GFS and Euro want to cut off a 500 low this weekend. The Euro is particularly impressive with it.
Kmlwx
That looks too crazy to be real. How much precip do we get from that?
MN Transplant
Dry air surging in. 91/43 at IAD, 92/43 at BWI vs 93/57 at DCA.
MN Transplant
That looks too crazy to be real. How much precip do we get from that? Spotty areas over an inch Friday and then Sunday looks like it could be a more widespread soaker (east), but I don't have access to the full run. Just the Wunderground data. AmericanWxFreak
That looks too crazy to be real. How much precip do we get from that? I didn't look into specifics or evolution of the runs, but plain old qpf is between 2-3" for areas north and east of DC on both 12 yesterday and 0z last night
87storms
we've had a few hot days since the march warm up, but overall, this has been a very tame last few months and seems more like 45/55 warm/cool than the other way around when you put it all together. let me put it this way, if you like heat and storms, you've been disappointed so far. 87storms
I can't complain about this. Aside from the rainy period it has been great. i liked march because i was tired of the cold. april was ok. may was a mess (no interest in upper 50s and drizzle). this month has been much better. BlizzardNole
It was so dry yesterday that the wind made the kids cold in the community pool with temps in the mid 80s. We left after a half hour and saw a humidity reading of 12 percent when we got home That is dry! I am rooting hard against that possible cutoff low this weekend -- my parents are hosting a huge family pool party down in Calvert for Sunday. BlizzardNole
I think we'll be OK for the weekend - nice temps too. I love that there are no 90s any time soon coming up. But WOW at the Euro...this from the Wakefield discussion: ECMWF goes for broke and develops a monster low thatlingers off the Mid Atlantic Coast through Sun resulting in galeto possible storm force winds from New England down to the OuterBanks!!! Not ready to buy that scenario right now (given howanomalous that would be for mid June).
