If you get any rain you need to be thankful for it. Here in the Spartanburg area I haven't had any rain this month.

It makes for easy yard work with no grass cutting but my yard is so hard I can't tell the difference between it and my concrete....

0.64" for June.  Until this month, we have been averaging half our normal totals since March.

That's .64 better than I'm doing. Only a trace here so far in June. I'm on pace to shatter my record for driest summer, which was .30 for June 1 through Aug 30 in 1993.

Wish I could share with you all how cool that storm just east of me looks. It is over GSO now and warned severe. From here on top of my perch in Kernersville I am seeing the back side of the storm, full height, wrapped by a clear star lit sky, lightning like crazy and the whole thing is underlit by the lights in GSO. I've tried to get 20 pics but just cant get it to translate. But truly one of the most photogenic storms I've seen.

Around noon, it's 72 cloudy, with drizzle, with a nice NE gust up to 15 mph in the Triad.

Wow, I am 2 hours away and it is 85/77 and cloudy. No rain so far today or this past week for that matter.

High thursday was 99, high yesterday was 100, and the high todaywas 102.5  here :axe: Athens got to 101 and even atlanta hit 100..which ties the record. Just too damn hot. Thank god we will "cool back down" into the low 90s tomorrow.

Atlanta was reporting 99 at 4pm. Not sure if they hit 100 or not but if they did it would be the first time in 4 years.

I was making my post when you made yours but edit to add yeah...they made it.

Atlanta reached 100F today. This is the first 100-degree day in the city since July of 2012!

I don't think Atlanta was forecast to be any hotter than 97 today. I guess that dry ground is making things hotter than it otherwise would be.
