Cfa
Wow, an actual downpour, and one loud enough to wake me up. The birds outside are going crazy, many of them likely haven't even experienced heavy rain. That's how long we've gone without it. Picked up 0.43" within minutes during the first one, and now another one's rolling through.
Michael05192016
I heard the same thing. The birds must have been excited for the rain. Now quiet as they are likely drinking now.

Rtd208
Looks like most of the heavier rain from overnight is moving out now. There will still be a chance of showers and thunderstorms throughout the day and into the evening hours which will be capable of putting down heavy rainfall. Morris
An overperformer for a change and the NWS happened to be right. 1.54" in the park as of an hour ago. Why did this have to happen when nobody is there to witness it?
mriceyman
Radar doesnt look that impressive behind what already went thru.. Will showers keep popping up or will it be a hit or miss rest of the day?

UnionWeatherWx
Around .75", (Juno FTW) the axis of heaviest snow reminded me of 2013-2014 winter, haha. For a second i thought it was a bust, because when I woke up the sun was already out and, and the ground was already dry. All day rain event FTW.
