Trent
Record high at CLE today of 94, breaking the 1933 record of 93. I believe this is the hottest temp at CLE since summer of 2013.
UMB WX
33 months since we last had back to back 90+ highs.. DP never got out of hand so it was a very enjoyable heat when you add in the wonderful breeze along with only a hand full of hrs total of 90 or 91. hawkeye_wx
Today was going to be the hottest day, but the overnight convection and remnant cloudiness held us at 89. We may only end up with one or two 90 degree highs out of this heat wave.
cyclone77
Ended up tagging 91 here and at MLI. Really wasn't a bad heatwave at all. Yesterday's 94 wasn't too bad, as we had vigorous breezes blowing all day, and dews <70. Today got a bit uncomfortable in the last half of the afternoon, but through early afternoon it wasn't bad at all. Was hoping to head out and shoot some lightning tonight, but this setup is impotent as hell. Pretty sad storm season to be sure so far.
hawkeye_wx
It may not have been real hot today, but it's the steamiest day so far this season. The dewpoint from Des Moines to Waterloo to Cedar Rapids is 75.

We had some quarters and ping pong balls in our county at the end of March and I thought it was the start of a good severe season. *game show buzzer*

Geos
Should make for a good windows open sleeping night. Yeah once it gets here. Supposed to drop into the upper 50s tonight. Some of the lake shore towns north of Manitowoc have crashed 20° in about 30 minutes.

Geos
No hit of brown here. Very lush landscape. Front about to hit RAC. Edit: Front hit 12:00am. Winds are quite gusty outside.
daddylonglegs
Dew plummeted overnight. Went to bed it was 70F still and 2 hrs later it had dropped to 57F... Storms this morning fired up and the lightning was the best i've seen so far. Strikes were super close and the house was rattling. Down to 64F with another 3/4 inch of rain. No more rain needed around here. My grass is a foot long.
michsnowfreak
YIP is always the warmest location. ARB is usually the coldest morning low, YIP is usually the warmest daytime high. some of the highs that come out of YIP and lows out of ARB are ridiculous. DTW hit 93, hottest temp since 9-5-14. Todays forecast? A refreshing 76. I can do one-day heat no problem lol.

hawkeye_wx
When I woke up it was calm with a dewpoint still in the 70s, but in the last hour the northeast wind rushed in and dropped the dew to the upper 50s. It really feels great out there.

Geos
Winds were gusty all night. Currently sitting at 63°. Few clouds overhead, which are off of the t-storms to the west I'm guessing.
cyclone77
Tremendous air mass difference this morning. Dews in the 70s late into the night last night, and right now they're in the 40s with a nice northeast breeze. Feels like I'm at Geos ranch lol. Picked up 0.08" from a decaying line of storms. Didn't expect anything at all last night/this morning, so I'll take it. Euro really bringing the heat late next weekend, early next week. Legit shot at triple digit heat in much of the sub. cyclone77
Nice looking gravity waves moving south over eastern Iowa from that little complex in southwest WI. Even kicking off a few cells on the leading edge of them north of DVN.
