tmagan
I am seeing on discussion groups that the EMWIN Internet feed will be discontinued at the end of the year. Since some weather alert software programs use that feed, what will be around to replace it?

etudiant
Has anyone had any experience with the new IBM GRAF weather tracking/forecasting system? It seems to be inaccessible to ordinary mortals, but does it even perform at competitive levels with the Euro or the GFS?

What confuses me is that the EMWIN internet feed, which was around for anyone to use with internet access for twenty years is being replaced by something that requires a 'user name' and 'password' from the NWS. That also requires sending your personal information to the NWS, which to me is like going to the National Football League web site for game scores and asking the user for their personal information first.
