JerseyWx
Saw multiple PWS's on Weather Underground that hit 123 in the Phoenix area, with some pushing 125 and higher. Granted those can have errors, but extreme heat nonetheless.
JerseyWx
Yuma hit 120 as well.http://w1.weather.gov/obhistory/KNYL.html Just noticed that the heat index was like 10° lower than the actual temp which is weird. I could understand it feeling hotter than it is when the Humidity is high, but how can it feel cooler than 120 when it's actually 120 lol?

JerseyWx
Dry heat. DP in the low 30s. Sweat evaporates more easily in dry conditions so it doesn't feel as hot. Thanks, that's interesting. I was wondering if it had to do with the low humidity and DP, but I didn't think that would actually make it feel cooler, just not any hotter. NJwx85
The NAM, GFS and ECMWF all bring an MCS through here on Thursday. Convection initiates over Indiana and comes East throughout the day. There are some differences but the feature is there on all of them.
