nwohweather
Boy the SPC once again doing a poor job. You have an environment with 1500-2000 j/kg and 200+ SRH yet they issue a Svr TStorm Watch? Hell all the cells behind that line are fully discrete! I'll admit it's been an impressive tornado day in W KY
janetjanet998
The tail end supercell of the 1st line now also has a hook. So sort of three lines Edit just Got TOR warned Someone post a radar shot with the warnings I'm mobile

SmokeEater
Some places in Kentucky now have two watches in effect at the same time. Dont see that every day. They don't, the areas previously under a severe watch have been upgraded.
Chinook
Some places in Kentucky now have two watches in effect at the same time. Dont see that every day. Don't they sort of cancel the severe watch and make the tornado watch effective for all purposes? Twister was released in theaters 20 years ago today. Why not have a surprise twister outbreak today? snowlover2
Some places in Kentucky now have two watches in effect at the same time. Dont see that every day. New watch in this case tornado takes over so the other one is basically canceled.
HillsdaleMIWeather
New watch in this case tornado takes over so the other one is basically canceled. Yep, the two watches were in effect at the same time for only like 5 mins. I wasn't expecting this many discrete storms in KY today.
NorthArlington101
Storm near Crofton really beginning to get its act together.
andyhb
The only thing really preventing this from totally getting out of hand is that the 0-1 km SRH is a bit marginal. All of these storms are strongly rotating aloft and it wouldn't take much via the EVX and PAH VAD profiles to increase the tornado threat markedly, perhaps just some subtle localized backing of the surface winds. nwohweather
Literally everything has a hook in W KY. I think marginal CINH is having a bit of an effect on the long term duration of these mesocyclones once they get south of Louisville. West of that however is wide open and SRH is increasing
