powderfreak
discussion equates to preference This in a nut shell...it was talked about last week and correctly forecast by a lot of posters. It's those that forecast cool wet weather apparently like it...but that logic makes sense for someone who forecasts emotionally all the time, lol. Would you prefer that over a day like today?

wxeyeNH
Just posted this in the NNE thread.... I'm probably the only one in New England that is noticing that we are getting some of the smoke from the big fires in Alberta. Storm passed though that area a few days ago and the winds blew strong west to east. Smoke was forced over the ridge and is now coming back down in modified fashion over New England. My surface vis. is over 50 miles but the sky has the milky appearance even though we are cloud free and have very low dews. Looking closely at the vis. satellite you can see the smoke moving due south from Quebec. High altitude smoke looks to increase this evening as a thicker plume is moving towards us. Unfortunately we live in SNE. Many times, it goes wasted. Sorry.
Typhoon Tip
re that "heat wave" JBS is promoting himself over in the deep extended ... if it holds, it holds, but if there were ever a season full of tenor for shrinking a warm signal from both ends until it's just a dirty warm sector for 9 to 12 hours, this is it...
