Multi day disaster on EC ensembles shaping up.

*IF* they look anything like the operational version that won't be as bad as it may look at first glance... *assuming you mean D 7-10.

U/A features can and do quite often (you know this...) look far more barking then they end up biting.  In fact, the D8-10 could end up being entertaining of all things given the oper., with sun bubbling up underneath mlv cold pool.  not at first, no - would be some onshore flow and then transitions to pancaking, then to towers by the end of the run.

still, as of last night, the GEFs teleconnectors for three nights now are painting a different story, too.

Yeah it just depends on how that trough sets up. Sometimes they lift out quicker too. I have noticed the ensembles have been steady at hinting at inclement weather for at least 2-3 days anyways.

What year was it in the 2000's we had rain and high of 43 on Mother's Day? Was that 2006?

Has this April been the coolest since 2002, or... I mean, just day after day of chill it's seems.

3rd coldest April of the 2000s behind 2003 and 2007, NAPRIL

Why would there be posts about a cold may. It's a cold start. The month probably ends up near normal give or take 1F.

By next weekend the nice, warm pattern is settling in. Why are there posts about a cold May?

IDK this doesn't scream anything to write home about. I certainly am hoping we hit the 70s at least. Those 70s  Kev scheduled for today and tomorrow went bye bye faster than Papis HR last night. Super adiabatic flip

Boston had not been that chilly compared to normal. -0.9. Others are -1.2 to -1.9. Coolest departure relative to normal at BDL. So a cooler

Month, but nothing excessive.

Still Bostons 3rd coldest April of the 2000s behind 2003 and 2007

With a trough in the east. I would sell any big warmth.

Only reason BOS was so much warmer was all those fake urban heat non radiating nights. all surrounding Coops were 1.2- 2.0 below normal

BOS is also much cooler in April than interior. With so much onshore flow, they won't deviate that far from normal....hence less of a departure too.
