EWR up 9 degrees in the last 2 hours.

EWR and NYC up to 66 as of 8am.

 

Heating up fast like the desert with the really low humidity and dry conditions.

That's been the pattern with the warmer days so far this spring beating guidance.

NYC still holding onto the driest spring on record with only 6 more days to go.

Spring precip in NYC is currently 4.88" vs the record of 4.95" in 1885.

Might make it if they miss any convection this weekend....Need the front either to stay well N and E or surge well S and W...if it's near NYC a poorly timed T-storm could ruin it.

In any event, NYC only has a little more precip this spring than the average 3.60" in San Diego.

Those yellows on the drought monitor are going to expand and get deeper if this dry pattern

doesn't reverse in June.
