Isotherm
Another 0.13" this morning, with a total of 2.11" for the month, and a temp departure of -7.1 degrees for the 1st seven days. 2.02" and -10.2 temperature departure here. My personal records only go back about a decade, but I'd imagine this was one of the chilliest first weeks of May on record.
uncle W
the all time coldest start to May was 1917...May 1-10 averaged 46.9 in Central Park...1967 is the second coldest May on record...it had a daily minimum 50 or lower the first 18 days of the month...It tied 1917 for the record... Rjay
Always is correct. Fake cold island. Look what happens when the wind picks up a bit at KFOX. Then notice it goes calm again and the temp plummets.
bluewave
It looks like NYC will probably have to wait until near or after May 20th to see the first 80 degree day potential of May. The very strong blocking pattern over the next week to 10 days will probably limit the high temperature range to the 70's in NYC.

Stormlover74
Is May a lock to finish below normal? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Too early to say a lock. This week looks average to slightly above average so I think by mid month we're around -3. If we average +3 the rest of the way we could end up average.
