SPC too. They have been reactive the whole day their wasn't even a meso discussion out for KY then after many warnings they went right too a watch also no talk of the storms In between the watches over southern il despite many tornado warnings issued

I agree. The SPC is usually discussing tornado threats and issuing tornado watches in advance, especially when decent shear is in the area. Today, not so much.

19 tornado reports. Today was so much bigger than that super hyped moderate risk day of 4/26/16

HRRR forecast sounding that was valid for 00z, northeast Missouri. (There was less CAPE but stronger 300mb wind in Illinois for those other tornadoes)

A fairly strong and long-lasting supercell brought some very large hail to SE Ohio and western WV Thursday evening...with multiple reports of 2"+ hail. Some of the largest hail occurred north of Athens, for better or worse the storm missed the city of Athens and OU...pretty impressive look on radar. I wasn't shocked with supercells today but with MLCAPE of only around 1000 J/KG and meager mid-level lapse rates I figured hail would be marginally severe and not very large. Unfortunately I was at work when this was going on..
