BowMeHunter
Goofus still doesn't want to like King Euro's coastal.. Silly model.. Looking even better no flight delays in Indy for the wife..
snowstormcanuck
I'll take the 1-2" the EURO is showing, should that verify, but I think the fat lady sings tonight wrt anything more significant.
baroclinic_instability
Yeah GFS OTS. Still a big change from what it was initially doing.
baroclinic_instability
There is a small but distinct chance this PV has weakened so much it won't really play any part and won't be strong enough as a leading wave to develop a good coastal. baroclinic_instability
Yes, but will be in Atlanta, GA area for Christmas.... Probably mostly just rain, maybe a few wet flakes late but nothing that sticks. Then just chilly and breezy behind the front.
KokomoWX
I think by the time 11 comes he will be changing his tune He went with 2 to 5 inches for Friday for central Indiana.

dilly84
Buckeye may have to extend his screw zone for everyone north of I 40 and points east... LOL sure may. Oh well, look on the bright side. Now we can just casually check in and see if there are any changes instead of letting it consume a lot of us. It was fun thinking about the possibility of a Christmas Eve/Day storm while it lasted. Bring on the ECMWF to show the south path and slam the door shut.

The_Global_Warmer
this might end up 1-2 for stl..I will hold out hope for 3-4 though now with higher ratios. .25 qpf with 13-1 would be ok
Thundersnow12
Sad that this is the potential just 2 days ago... a pretty big let down...ya I know it was still days out but I really thought we had a good shot with the models showing a solid snow event for what seemed like 4 days straight for around here. And to look at it now.... atleast I got a few inches last night.
buckeye
Buckeye may have to extend his screw zone for everyone north of I 40 and points east... LOL I'll update my map tomorrow. Btw, bowme's two favorite models, ukie and nogaps are nada for coastals. If the ggem bails it all hangs on a 12 hour old euro run.

Baro, I'm actually about 70 miles south of St. Louis. Can you do a spot forecast for me? I am actually interested in what this all means for mid-Mississippi Valley. Can't find any disco on this. I'm going to play the selfish card, but as big of a let down as this storm was for us, it would only be fitting for this storm to miss the coast too

I'd rather see this thing miss us and slam the southern Midwest and Ohio Valley than just completely take a **** on all of us. I say just keep the clippers coming the rest of the winter, and the nickel and diming that they bring. The big ones always seem to screw us at the last second anyway LOL. stlirish
I removed that video - at the end it had rough language. Pretty funny on the EC vs GFS. It can be found on YouTube by search. very funny!! I caught it before you removed it...

Right now, maybe 1/2-1" wet snow Friday night, but it looks like most moisture will be across the plains and towards southern portions of ARK. Thanks for the help. I think the local NWS has some catchup to play due to the constant model shifts towards the more southern solutions.
buckeye
bastardi isn't doing well with storms this year he was being so calm and professional after that euro run from 00z mon showed a BECS.....he didn't freak out, he stayed calm. Pointed it out without claiming it was what was going to happen. Then after this afternoons run it was like he broke free from the chains and went into full hype mode again.... he just couldn't help himself and now there's a chance he'll once again.....for the 4th or 5th time already this season....fall flat on his face.
