BowMeHunter
Catch up on the thread later... Lots of pages to read so I'm assuming good things happened for most today! Not a single snowflake here fell and looks like any LES will probably end up being a Racine and Kenosha special.. If I didn't have bad luck so far this winter I'd have no luck. And to top it of I'm getting sicker than a wet fart. Y'all and your loved ones Have A Merry Christmas
B-Rent
I was in muncie about an hour ago, looked like "christmas movie snow" about an inch down. Back here in Anderson just a dusting. Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk

wxdudemike
Not a flake here! Darn dry air Oh well, still a white Christmas regardless and hoping for an inch or two still by morning. Merry Christmas, everyone!!
TheWeatherPimp
As quick as it started to snow here, it quit! Damn dry air. It takes a lot to get me frustrated, but pretty much same old tune every system here this winter. Snow everywhere until it gets to Ohio and then the dry air/black eat the system away. janetjanet998
looks like about 6 inches here on the north side of PIA not bad
cyclone77
Finished with a little over 7 inches here. Not too shabby. The snow is fluffy, but sort of wet. Probably on the order of 13-14:1 type ratio I'd estimate. Still snowing a little bit, but I think the accumulating snow is pretty much done. Now have almost 14 inches on the ground... Went out and snapped a few pics.. The snow piled along the front street sidewalk area is literally over my head...

hawkeye_wx
My cumulative cleared snow board(about every 8 hours) total is 8.3 inches. My undisturbed snow board total is 7.8 inches. The thing about the difference is it all seems to have occurred immediately after clearing the board. Each time I cleared, the very next measurement gained about 0.2 inches over the undisturbed board, but there was no additional long term change. Maybe I'll just average them and put down 8.1 inches for my storm total. Anyway, this storm really came through for us so I'm quite happy. It's quite possible this will be our biggest snow all winter.

It's quite possible this will be our biggest snow all winter. Very nice. Some pretty nice totals coming in from eastern Iowa. Looks like a few locations approached 10 inches. My cumulative total was only about a 4 tenth difference between the undisturbed area. The undisturbed area was just shy of 7 inches, whereas the cumulative total was a bit over 7 inches. The difference was small enough I probably won't bother with clearing areas in the future unless I'm home or the snow is especially successible to settling. MoeWx
Upper level low moving in now, Everyone in SW Indiana - Indiana in general for the matter will be dry slotted for a while. Snow showers will pick up. Near the upper level low and especially on the back side later. Everyone got what they're going to get from the main wave. Main upper level low circulation is located just NW of St. Louis atm. You can see the mid-level circulation on radar actually out of KLSX.

atw
Looks like pending any accumulations from this last band coming into the region the final tally will be 3.75" here in Flora, All in all a great white Christmas.. I'm a new poster...long-time lurker on Eastern. I live in Mexico, Missouri (approx.) 40 minutes northeast of Columbia. Looks like Mid Missouri has two excellent posters. The snow didnt drift so measuring was fairly simple but I measured 5.5" at my house. We caught heavy snow from the northern fringe of the southern band yesterday morning and were hit by the northern band during the afternoon for an extended period of time. We pretty much threaded the needle. Maybe JD and/or Stlweatherjunkie can chime in on my area. I measured frequently due to expected compaction. Although temps were marginal (30-32 degrees) the snow was fairly fluffy in nature. Ground is frozen so not as much compaction in my yard as I expected. I probably wont post very often due to the proximity of our well known Columbia posters. I took pics but havent posted them.
