Just that radar signature alone, I don't know how you can hold off from issuing a TOR on it with such a prominent hook echo on reflectivity and strong rotation on velocity. Anyone with enough radar savvy would be right to wonder the difference between seeing the hook in that qlcs and others and on supercells and how one would get a SVR and the other a TOR. The north side of San Antonio got crushed with some huge hail, dBZ of 65-70 up to 18000' as it passed north of the city. Wow, we really dodged one here in Austin. Looks to be some heavy rain where I am and that's it-we need the rain anyway. That cell looked ferocious when it crossed the north side of town.
