Hurricane Agnes
Maxed out at 89F yesterday and currently 74F. Not a drop of rain since August 31st. Glad they added Philly to the drought map! Folks are mowing brown grass now.
JTA66
At least the weeds are brown & dead, too.
RedSky
Models keep trending drier for Sun-Mon. In other news late month could feature a significant cool shot and next weeks heat wave doesn't look scorching anymore.

This will screw up Fall foliage. Everything is just kinda dead... S
Hurricane Agnes
There be something unusual coming from the sky right now. Something that I haven't seen since August 31st. Was out putting fall fertilizer on the plants with the hope that it can get watered in. Currently overcast with occasional DZ. Temp is 74F and the dewpoint is a muggy 70F! Definitely a big humidity difference from this past week.
Birds~69
Radar looks pretty good and building. I have full sun so hopefully that will fuel things more..
zenmsav6810
Of course the one day I decide to play golf we get the strongest rain signal in months. Have a feeling we don't get as much as modeled. Dry slot anyone?

Quickly coming up on 1" rain so far. Some of the heavier instances were peaking at 1.5"/hr (so far). The band is moving pretty slowly as predicted. Hopefully this will revive the poor brown grass! BBasile
Loud thunder and 5"/hr rainfall rates make a great alarm clock! Up to 1.18" of rain so far.
Chief83
Worcester, PA. 2.3" of rain as of 9 AM. Earlier lightning and a brief power outage.
Hurricane Agnes
Up to 1.4" so far (yay) although the radar looks as if the back edge is approaching unless something back-builds. Still pretty juicy out there with a 69F dewpoint. It doesn't look like Julia moisture has been drawn up yet until the front gets closer? So may end up with a pause and then a round 2? RedSky
1" on the nose here a good area wide soaking. Can't say good model performance the second slug of showers for this afternoon and evening has evaporated other than some light residual stuff, euro doing not so good. Birds~69
Care less about the exact totals. I just can't remember the last time I had a steady light to sometimes moderate rain for a good portion of the day. Probably another hour or so left... JTA66
85.0F was the best I could do today, time to wrap up the AC. I'm sure we have some "hot" days ahead, but the overnights (sleeping weather) is much improved!
