RedSky
73.6F and low humidity. 40% clouds and a bit breezy a 9 on the 1-10 scale. Tomorrow should be a

Hurricane Agnes
Am @ 58F here as well this morning (my low so far). With the breeze yesterday, didn't expect it to go that calm that quick overnight. That radiated all the built-up heat from the asphalt and cement pretty efficiently. Even though it was "cooler" yesterday here (high was 79F), the August sun was still pretty intense.
BBasile
Can't remember the last time I felt a morning like this. Currently 54.9F / DP 52F
noctilucent
I have 50.1 on the thermometer here. Chilly. I could actually see vapor coming out of my mouth when exhaling. I was pretty surprised to see that.

KamuSnow
Not weather but saw a nice meteor tonight around 8:45 or so. It lasted long enough for me to tell my wife, she then looked and saw it too. It was in the north to NNW sky.
Birds~69
Even with a 72F/ DP it's really not bad outside. Overcast since noon, a temp of 84.6F and a nice breeze to keep things moving. Tomorrow should be more hell-ish...
Birds~69
Looking ahead, the Labor day weekend looks super nice if the long range outlook is correct. Sunny, temps in the low 80s and low-normal DP/humidity levels.

weatherwiz
Many of you may know (or not know) but a tradition dating back to eastern days (maybe longer?) has been an NFL pick em contest run in the sports forum. The schedule for each week is posted typically sometime on Tuesday and participants quote the post, bold the teams they think will win, predict a tiebreaker score for the Monday night game, and the weekly/season standings are then posted on Tuesday as well. This contest is free. However, last year we introduced a pay pick-em league. This league is run using yahoo and at the end of the season the top 3 people win money (65% for 1st, 25% for 2nd, 10% for 3rd). We are hoping to get as many people as possible to join...the more people the higher the payouts. We will also be doing weekly winners with that payout all dependent on how many are signed up...but think $10 per week unless we have a ton of sign-ups. Anyways if you're interested further details are in the pinned thread on the sports side...below is the link
RedSky
Boring as heck weather year of 2016 post blizzard rolls on. August rainfall just 1.65" yet my grass continues to thrive despite maybe the hottest August on record.

RedSky
Bizarre little cool front approaching with a humidity drop and lower temps predicted of 60F tonight and 59F tomorrow night. Where did this come from? Was anticipating heat and humidity until the front arrived Wednesday.

Yes - yesterday the GEM had it, now it appears that all but the Euro have it pretty much coming up the coastal plain (until VA or so) as opposed to offshore. Likely to change, but interesting. Bluescat1
It looks like a combination of warmer than usual SST's and a splitting of the high pressure is creating a weakness in the atmosphere. At least from my amerature prespective.

Trending is a miss with the tropical so boring weather ad infinitum I got a bit under 0.2" of rain overnight (and a little this morning that wasn't enough to make any difference), but had expected at least 1/2" or more. Looks like southern Chesco may have cashed in based on the radar returns last evening. Currently 76F and the dews are still pretty juicy in the upper 60s. Go to the park early (bike ride/walk) for some sun then eat/drink during the afternoon...that's what I plan on doing. Sunday looks a mess...at best, pretty much cloudy w/spotty showers. BBasile
Did end up getting exactly 1 inch of rain for August, and another 0.56" this morning. Has been a lackluster summer for weather and now that I have a four day weekend with plans of jet skiing down the shore, the atmosphere decides to send a tropical storm this way. Go away Hermine! lol
