Sophisticated Skeptic
moderate rain here for the last half hour or so, with nothing on radar. I only remember these types of events during the winter. (low level snow squalls, etc..not on radar)

BBasile
Looks like the beam height is about 9,200' up there, with most of the tops only between 10-15kft, or less (obviously). Must be a lot going on between 3 and 9kft.
Sophisticated Skeptic
Aye^ , everything stopped now. brightening up on the south end. Binghamton radar is a little more accurate during these events.
BBasile
Oh yeah, about 3kft lower. Still, that beam height would annoy me. lol
Birds~69
Radar looks like hell. Not much/nothing going on in SE PA. Or to the West. Oh well...

RedSky
Strange there has been almost exactly a one year break from wet times and the big rain train events from last July up until now. Don't like the look of the radar presently in eastern PA it's rather ominous, extremely sluggish moving heavy showers. Storms currently approaching NW quadrant of Berks have incredible rates with them.
Sophisticated Skeptic
the only good news about these insane precip amounts, is how the same seems to be happening in the winter as well. Frequent 4" to 5" inch per hour snowfall rates at times...the last few years. so...the snow geese must be happy.
RedSky
Just saw the twitter video of the girl being heroically rescued from a rushing torrent before the car is swept away. What was she thinking as she faced death? Must save the smart phone and keep it dry sticking it in her mouth. Humanity is doomed it's all over. Sophisticated Skeptic
gotta save the cellphone, you know how it is. in all honesty, it could of been sunny in that same spot an hour before that...it's just how crazy these storms are. maybe she was thinkin along those lines....like there's noway the waters could be that high already. who knows. Hurricane Agnes
Haven't cracked 80F yet today. It has been overcast all day thanks to that trough. Finished up a couple hundredths of an inch short of 6" of rain for July. Currently 75F and still overcast.

Gouldsboro.. 5 inches already i'm guessin.. Go for it! I have a magnetic force around my area preventing storms. Overcast and decently cool all day w/occasional mist/light light rain. Better than sunny, super muggy and hot. JUST IN! Glenn unveiling Storm Ranger 10! First day! Means nothing to many of us on this board because we are usually ahead of the mainstream. Gimmick. They said it will "fill in the gaps." With KDIX, KDOX, and TPHL, there really aren't that many gaps. From that image, it looks like they're using it near me. About 35 miles from KDIX and 15 miles from TPHL. lol And this isn't Oklahoma. How many open areas can they find to even use the thing? I see a bunch of buildings and trees getting in the way. Plus, it'll probably be stuck in traffic most of the time. haha
Birds~69
They are getting kinda smeared on FB. http://tinyurl.com/h82car7 Their hype is almost ridiculous...it's comical It reminds me of "Twister" with that heap of shiet in the back flatbed.
