JTA66
So much for the Philly forum being dead -- two pages on wind ... nice!! Some bright flashes of lightning and loud cracks of thunder last night, but the best part of that line passed to my south & east. The winds have been ripping since midnight, certainly some gusts of 45 mph +. A few tree branches down, but nothing too bad.
CoolHandMike
Absolutely howling here in West Chester. Blowing steady at 31 mph and gusting to the mid 40's. I have a spruce outside my apartment that has been dashing itself against my bedroom window to bits all night. Hasn't come down yet (recent ice storms and Sandy brought down a lot of the lower limbs)...
BBasile
Peak wind gust this morning was 46 MPH. Not sure how many times the wind gusted over 35 MPH, but I know it was a lot since I made the mistake of having my Davis console's high wind alarm set at that point. Sleepless night. lol
Hurricane Agnes
Alot of debris around the neighborhood - mostly small branches from sycamores or white pines. The wind also took out about a 10ft west-facing section of someone's privacy fence. If finally died down about an hour or so ago...
