bluewave
That has a wicked look. And crazy after December indeed. The raging +PDO and record -EPO drop for this time of year set the whole process off. Now the PV diving SE next weekend will pump the block near Greenland and reinforce the high latitude blocking pattern. All that warm water off the West Coast continues to make the weather headlines since the Summer of 2013.

mob1
The GFS was close for next weekend, the storm develops a bit too far east and gets going a bit too late, but the trough orientation is pretty good and verbatim it does show some snow for eastern areas. Disclaimer; I'm not saying it shows accumulating snow anywhere.

Brian5671
When was a game ever canceled bc of drizzle? On a normal day, yes, play it, but with it being opening day and an off day scheduled for tomorrow and a forecast of sun it's an easy call. (not sure they could have played it anyway-it's a pretty steady rain out there) Wussification of America. So lame/. Like that eagles game Completely agree. Then 3 years later they get a surprise 10 inches against the Lions and guess what? Everyone lived and the game was played!
