bluewave
Record low -AO and we are still managing a Positive Departure for April at NYC. The big story will be the muted warmth. This will be the fourth April in a row that NYC couldn't reach 85 degrees or more. This April also establishes a new low for the 2000's at 26 degrees and coldest since 1995. We haven't hit a record high here since early March. Hitting 70 is easy in late April when the average high is close to 65 degrees. Newark was only able to beat it's March high of 82 by one degree at 83 degrees.

bluewave
Hes acting as if we always get summer heat in April It's normal to get summer heat in April as the monthly highs for the 2000's have shown. Low 80's is at the cooler range of the average 2000's April monthly highs. Pretty easy to get highs in the 70's when the average high now is 65 degrees.
