Through April 11, NYC has had a monthly temperature anomaly of 3.3° below normal. Assuming the MOS is reasonably accurate through 4/19, the odds favor April's finishing with a below normal monthly temperature. If that happens, April would be NYC's first colder than normal month since June 2015. However, there still remains some chance that the second half of the month could be sufficiently warm to wipe out the cold anomaly.

Sun is out for most of NNJ now and the clearing line is approaching Brooklyn, NYC.

 

I have patches of blue skies showing in NE Queens now as well.

I was talking more about the 60 or 62...temps falling behind the front and starting to get past peak daytime heating

LGA temp is up 6 degrees the last hour. From 48 to 54.

NYC up 7 degrees last hour. From 48 to 55.

EWR up 7 degres last hour. From 49 to 56.
