I really have been confused on the winds. I haven't seen anything that shows other than the Cape reaching HWW level. Where does the region wide HWW stuff come from?

 

Yeah the best HWW stuff looks closer to the low center. And adjacent areas if CAA can arrive and deepen the boundary layer while that backside jet is hanging around.

 

Otherwise, I think much of New England is seeing CAA gusts in the 40-50 knot range Sunday. So can't say it won't hit 50, but I wouldn't be expecting consistent gusts there either.
