If a NAMish scenario pans out for Sunday evening, it will be interesting to see how far back we can go in terms of total April snowfall at YYZ. Hearing that it's already the snowiest April since 1979.

Checked the records myself and it indeed is. Right now April 2016 is 7th all time. Looks like we should have no problem cracking the top 5.

April 1939 = 12.9"

April 1975 = 10.7"

April 1979 = 10.2"

April 1961 = 9.6"

April 1947 = 7.3"

April 1966 = 7.1"

April 2016 = 7.0"

Been getting a rain/snow mix.  Should turn to all snow later.

Saturday night/early Sunday looks a little interesting.  As we've seen multiple times lately, could be a convective component to precip and favorable time of day could allow for some minor accumulations in Chicagoland.  Tricky part is that temperature profiles will be warming pretty quickly so the window for snow may not be more than a few hours.
