5.5-6" fell from what I can tell so far. Snow should diminish to flurries later this afternoon before another 5-6" or so tonight with lake/terrain effect.

AS SFC WINDS SHIFT TO THE NE LATE THIS AFTERNOON...TERRAIN-ENHANCED
SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE ACROSS MAINLY MARQUETTE AND
NORTHERN BARAGA COUNTIES. HIGH-RES GUIDANCE CONTINUES TO LATCH ON TO
THIS IDEA...WITH A NARROW STRIPE OF QPF OF 0.25-0.5 INCHES FROM LATE
THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT

snow depth back over 2' ..... Keep on shoveling!

damn! :snowing:

HAD TO DO A LOT OF EDITING FOR THE QPF AND POPS GRIDS AS NORTH TO
NORTHEAST LAKE EFFECT SNOW BELTS LOOK TO GET HIT WITH A LONG LASTING
LAKE EFFECT SNOW EVENT FROM THU INTO SAT. BUMPED UP QPF AND POPS IN
THOSE AREAS. ALSO LOWERED LOW TEMPERATURES AND HIGHS A BIT AS
AIRMASS IS COLD AND HAVE FRESH SNOW COVER AT NIGHT WHICH WILL ALSO
ALLOW TEMPERATURES TO BE COLD.

+1

another wet one here

medium range models keep drying to dry things out but it's not happening.

I was quite surprised how much it was hailing/snow pellets here and yet it ended about 15 minutes ago and the pellets have already melted off.

Congrats - it's really an incredible wintry period for the time of year.

My condolences.

It's just that the sound is foreign to me still. I haven't heard it really since October - maybe.

Eventually I'll end up sleeping right threw it. Generally I'm not a deep sleeper.

There was one lightning strike that set off car alarms last night.

Yeah, one particularly loud, long, house shaking rumble made sure my entire house was awake

has snowed all day with 4" since 7am and 9.5" since 9:30 pm last night. wouldn't be surprised to see 4-6" more overnight.

current radar shows the terrain enhancement well here. radar.png

What is the most snow you got in a month this winter, you have to be catching up to it at this rate.
