UnionWeatherWx
That sounds awful for mid April Sounds weird to us, but it's nothing new for them. Pretty sure a April snowstorm is almost always expected in Denver.
uncle W
On 1953 you mean 8/23 not 9/23 of course. How about July 1999 into Aug. 05 or so? 1953 hand only those 12 days I mentioned from that period... 7/15-8/2 1999 had 16/19 days...
bluewave
The Euro is going for another hurricane season like 2013, 2014, and 2015 where the tropical activity is suppressed south of 20 N. If all that high pressure dominates across the tropics like the Euro is showing, look for storms to develop north of 20N like recent years. Joaquin was one such storm that developed north of 20. I think we finally turn the corner next year though as there's going to be that Nino lag this summer. The 2016/17 winter could actually be interesting though especially if we remain in a +PDO. JerseyWx
Thursday morning we had this one big cloud that came over around 8:00. That was really it though, and of course that's nitpicking. I mean this weather is just gorgeous. Today was my absolute perfect Spring day. Nice frost this morning at about 34°, with icy grass and a frozen windshield (had to scrape it), and then 65° and sunny with deep blue skies during the day. Really incredible. WaPo
Pics?Pardon the crudeness of them. I'm slightly hungover. The changeover occurred about an hour ago. It went from heavy rain to heavy snow in about ten minutes starting at 7AM. It was supposed to happen last night. http://imgur.com/lpNSkZQ http://imgur.com/a8sh8Ev http://imgur.com/L120Y3P http://imgur.com/pTRduhv

gravitylover
When he turns the knob in the shower in August and water comes out he'll be thankful for having gotten the April snowstorm. My buddy is in Winter Park, CO and expecting 2-4 feet. He's loves to ski but still isn't thrilled with that amount of snow in April
WaPo
It's been mostly white rain in downtown Denver. It was 80 degrees two days ago and the temperature is just above freezing. The snow coming down is heavy though.
jm1220
4-8" of rain expected here with locally 8-12" according to the NWS. We're also under a slight risk for severe currently. This would be Yanksfan's dream storm. Flash Flood Alley might live up to its name here in central TX late tomorrow and Monday.

Some areas down in the Great Dismal Swamp along the VA/NC border are down in the lower to mid 30s.

I didn't check, but I guarantee some places in the Pine Barrens got into the 20s.
