JerseyWx
Beautiful shot Forky. This weather is nearly perfect in my opinion for this time of the month. Frost at night, say around 35° or so, and then 60° or even 65° during the day with deep blue skies and a warm sun. Love it.
wthrmn654
Just 1.08" here with a temp departure of -3.2 degrees so far.I'm not home so I'll have to check the departures so far but I'd like to think there fairly similar.

Here in the city we'll stay in the upper 40s to around 50 at night, highs around 60-65. Yup, I'll take this.

Oh yeah, not to mention I enjoy tracking Frosts and Freezes every year. Nothing like waking up to a Frost in the morning, and then have it be 65°-70° and sunny in the afternoon and be able to wear a T-Shirt.
CIK62
last year was a hot summer especially late August and early September...8 of 11 days were 90 or higher from 8/30-9/9...it wasn't the hottest 11 day period on record but it was close... Hot periods... 6/21-7/14 1966...19 of 24 days 90 or higher... 7/04-8/04 1993...24 of 32 days 90 or higher... 7/29-8/19 2002...17 of 22 days 90 or higher... 7/23-8/17 1944...19 of 26 days 90 or higher... 7/12-7/23 1952...11 of 12 days 90 or higher... 9/23-9/04 1953...12 of 12 days 90 or higher... 7/27-8/13 1896...14 of 18 days 90 or higher... On 1953 you mean 8/23 not 9/23 of course. How about July 1999 into Aug. 05 or so?

bluewave
Pondering this a bit such a cruise would have been unthinkable a decade ago. If I can afford the trip I'd book it in a heartbeat. While most people that I know would choose to cruise the Caribbean, I would much rather take a summer Arctic cruise through the NW Passage and see Alaska and Greenland. marsplex
its still too cold at night out here in Stony Brook, its 37f right now and it sucks. I feel like it should be warmer at night this time of the year. I also wish the wind during the day would be less. I was looking ahead to Saturday and its going to be low 60's here but 20MPH winds. I cant stand that! I love it best when its 75+ in the day and 60's at night.
