uncle W
since 1869 (146 years) there are only four years that recorded at least an inch of snow on March 20th...1944, 1958, 1965, 2015...that's one every 38 years or so...since 1944 it's one every 18 years...if we get an inch it would be the first time 3/20 got an inch of snow or more two years in a row... MJO812
Alternate side parking is supsended tomorrow due to snow removal . "New Yorkers are reminded that a travel advisory is in effect from Sunday evening through Monday morning, March 21, and Alternate Side Parking is suspended on Monday. According to forecasts, snow is expected to begin around 9:00 PM, Sunday, and will end by daybreak Monday, with the a chance of lingering snow showers through the morning commute. A total snow accumulation of two to four inches is anticipated. Nighttime temperatures Sunday are expected to be around freezing. New Yorkers are asked to exercise caution and be prepared for slippery roads. As nighttime temperatures drop to below freezing, untreated surfaces can cause slick conditions. Please allow for extra travel time during your commutes."

BxWeatherwatcher
Latest HRRRRR has it better represented now but the moister gets robbed by the offshore low well as of right now the setup is looking favorable for a surprise.i actually think the off shore low might not be "so offshore" as it's shown.all this moisture is actually being thrown back a bit and developing west also,so it might want to snow a bit more then forecast tonight esp for the city and just west.
