daddylonglegs
Thanks! My family and I were fortunate enough to find a great house and a bunch of land up here on the ridge. Moved from the Gaylord NWS office to La Crosse back in September. The weather up here (about 700 feet above the valley floor) is just awesome...always windy and colder than down below. Grass is covered now. Agree about temps being a little on the cooler side. No real surprise given the strength of that high and airmass the past few days up across southern Canada. Down to 29° here at the house. sideyard.jpg Got to be up by NWS or off 33? Nice view. I'm north of you by the airport. My brother lives right off 33 up on the bluff. Don't you love the roads in this town? Lang Drive? Its either letting up or its turning to liquid here.

Geos
The 12z GFS. Yeah DLL, I don't get why the 12" area is all cut up like that. Doesn't make a lot of sense.
snowstormcanuck
recent HRRR runs really hitting the front-end snow harder. It's showing a swath from southern Lake Huron over to Toronto of 4-6" at 10:1 ratios before the transition. Should be a fun drive home

Geos
EURO was a bit south. Low travels from south of Peoria to Iroquois County. Also noted that it was a little warm with initial temperatures in northern IL and southern and western WI.

Jonger
good food and no republicans > snow Oh, there are republicans in Chicago -- just not a majority. Then again, there are so few people in Grand Marais, just having you move there would probably tilt the area blue.
