BlizzardNole
Mod/hvy snow in Germantown now with big flakes coming perfectly straight down (no wind); 36 degrees. Finally starting to whiten grass, decks, roofs, etc. This could have been a nice little event with temps a few degrees lower (few weeks ago?) Seems like some of the best precip has been right over us. Hard to believe we were over 80 not too long ago, and are looking at 70s in a few days! ers-wxman1
I've more been watching the h5 progression and that's where I saw a nice move in our favor at 18z Definitely a sharper trough, more neutral vs positive tilt and leads to stronger low. CAPE
I was pretty surprised with what it showed. Nice short range showdown between it and the Euro. Euro has had some decent qpf along the coastal plain for a couple runs now. Verbatim it had snow from eastern MD and DE northeast on its 0z run. It ticked west a tad at 12z with the precip. GFS was offshore with all the precip associated with the coastal until today's 12z run.
