Voyager
Radar looks like crap That's what I thought too when I woke this morning. Nothing like the solid returns from last Monday's storm across New York state and New England.
Blizzard of 93
This initial band means business. It is ripping heavy snow here in Marysville just a few miles NW of Harrisburg. CTP has a special weather statement to cover this heavy snow band. The radar will fill in. The precip in Ohio is pivoting down.
Blizzard of 93
Steady snow continues in Maysville. It looks beautiful outside with all trees & grass covered. The car tops are also covered & the road has a little slush.
Voyager
I just looked at the PA511 freeway cams, and holy hell is it snowing in some places. That band DOES mean business.
Voyager
Unless my eyes are deceiving me, it sure looks like that heavy slug of precipitation is falling apart as it moves east-northeast out of the Susquehanna Valley, thus possibly creating another famous "Tamaqua split"... 2001kx
we have around 2.5 - 2.75" so far with mod snow at times.
Blizzard of 93
The latest HRR & RAP show the best snow in the LSV , especially in Dauphin & York county, with 2-4 inches by the end of the day.
pawatch
The storm started around 6 AM, I'm sitting here drinking coffee watching it snow. This will probably be our biggest storm of the season. Our snow total for the year is around 7" compared to last year's 49".

heavy_wx
The Tamaqua snow hole... Untitled-1.jpg That area is in a bit of a gap in radar coverage so much of the precipitation below 4000 ft won't be sampled.
Jonesy56
The latest HRR & RAP show the best snow in the LSV , especially in Dauphin & York county, with 2-4 inches by the end of the day. measuring over 5" on the deck here in Linglestown. I think we're about done with anything significant by the looks of the radar. Those half-dollar aggregates were spectacular earlier.
Voyager
Oh, I know. It was quite evident during a few of our squall line events when it looked as if we were going to miss out. This time though, at the moment, it's depiction is accurate as I've yet to see a single flurry here.
Voyager
Check out the PA511 cams guys (and gals?). The 78/81 area iis getting royally slammed as of 8:45am. No where else in the capitol region looks anything like it as far as snowfall AND ground accumulation is concerned. Amazing!!!

Blizzard of 93
About 2 inches in the grass & car tops here in Marysville so far. It looked like the radar was trying to fill in a bit west of Harrisburg But it has mostly stopped here for now. Does anyone think that band in western PA will pivot down toward the LSV ?
