tamarack
Yeah. Just strong enough SW flow to keep the seabreeze in check. Or to overcome a seabreeze. Six years ago in early April, I was at Mercy Hospital (wife having knee replacement) overlooking the Fore River in PWM. About 4 PM the easterly breeze was replaced by a stiff SW wind, and PWM's temp rose from 59 to 84 in less than 15 minutes.

tamarack
PWM 60 by 11 AM. At that hour, SFM was 64 and FVE 22. Spring fronts ftw.
wxeyeNH
Wow, just cloudless skies over SNE and clearing out over CNE. Temps are going to be higher than forecast over a wide area this afternoon. I would guess lots of upper 70's. Be nice if someone could hit 80F but that's pushing it.
dendrite
And all afternoon to add to them.Maybe not yet at BDL. The wx phone had 22C so it was at least 71F. They'll get it easily though.

powderfreak
Montpelier, VT MPV should've already set their record, too. Old record was 61F in 2000, and the noon obs had 62F.

powderfreak
ORH is 70! Good chance they smashThat's impressive.Even East Slopes like Goshen at 1,400ft is 72F with 73F at Ashfield similar elevation. Without green up or vegetation everyone roasts in these...even those spots that in the summer struggle to rise are getting torched.

wxeyeNH
Just watched WMUR up here in NH. If I heard him correctly the noon temp at Concord of 73F not only broke today's record but is the highest temperature ever recorded through the first 13 days of March. Records go back to 1870. CON had 73F on 3/7/1876, but they will break that. This will be the warmest temp ever recorded for so early in the season.
