BuffaloWeather
Similar low position at least. It's a start I guess. With a sharp baroclinic zone, I would expect a stronger solution. Wait a sec... If the GFS I would expect a stronger system, if Euro is correct a shredded mess.
snowlover2
At 192 its over approx. Cleveland but transferring.
BuffaloWeather
The eastern ridge is not as strong with the next event as it was with this event. I would favor Detriot/Toronto locations with this one. I think a coastal transfer is more likely with a Miller B. A spread the wealth type system. but as already mentioned by Geos, it really is an awesome battlezone. It won't be boring, that's for sure. Storm after storm after storm, the only issue is enough cold air. Todays event: Next weeks:
Geos
Think the Euro is catching on.. lol. Awesome avatar. Maybe a bowling ball type system. DGEX has it. http://www.emc.ncep.noaa.gov/mmb/mmbpll/dgexops.conus/

ohiocat5908
Looking at surface temps and temps aloft on the EURO and GFS both suggest someone is going to get a significant icing event from this.
OHweather
The ensembles have a nice lobe of the PV over Hudson Bay ahead of the storm, so there should be some cold ahead of it. I'll be in Cleveland next week and am mildly intrigued.
IllinoisWedges
Good thing is, it's still there. Just a bit N with the swath. IA, MN, WI special. Then, it appears as if a second burst of snow will affect N Illinois as the low wraps up. Still snowing in N Michigan, but here's the most of it. ohiocat5908
GFS much stronger that run. Therefore much farther NW. Us snow starved people here in SEMI/NWOH will need to root for the weaker side of guidance or a stronger high placed farther west.

snowstormcanuck
The only thing I'm confident of with this storm is that the antecedent airmass should be much colder. Location is yet to be determined, but there's a more fulsome icing threat with this storm.

Powerball
Haha 8.7" in 3 hours. We don't get those kind of rates in this part of the county. dmc76 at least would disagree.

Powerball
You are never going to let go of that 2008 NYE storm? Still in a bit of a pissy mood after this current storm. I guess I'll go outside and shovel up the 3" of slurpee and its coating of sugar on top soon. Hopefully, no body parts will be injured in the process. Powerball
A seasoned and respected poster on the verge of a classic meltdown. Get ahold of yourself. If I still have to contend with persistent below average temps and pointless snow cover after missing out on big dogs, that will annoy me. That's essentially getting the crappy parts of winter (from a weather-tracking standpoint) dished out to you but without the benefits.

That's essentially getting the crappy parts of winter (from a weather-tracking standpoint) dished out to you but without the benefits. I hear ya...coming from a different perspective obviously. Here, the lake can always rub out a few inches of snow a majority of days but a true strong foot plus system snow is what I really need to close out this crappy Winter. Around 60" below for the season. I want this next storm! Then I am ready for Spring but that's a long uphill battle here.
