AmericanWxFreak
Is the air north of Balt favorable to sustain severe stuff up that way? Or do we just have a heavy rain threat moving forward into the night?

Sparky
Is the air north of Balt favorable to sustain severe stuff up that way? Or do we just have a heavy rain threat moving forward into the night? I would say no. There has been some kind of boundary layer around me all day. I only topped out at 71 and it is currently 68....that said, the airport north of Westminster recorded around 79,80 at one point today.
RandyHolt
My wife had to go to work 3 miles away as the storm was approaching. I told her to leave early so she wouldnt be driving in the middle of it / late for work. No hail at the house, hail at her work. Fist sized like in Bob's picture. Yep dents in the car. Arg!! How big was it? I'd love hail now. Not so much once my garden is in. Starting to get some nice rumbles of thunder here now.Edit: Massive strike. Gotta go change my pants. osfan24
Not a thing going on up here. Looks like the storms all fall apart as they head out of DC. I think I only got to 73 today, so maybe a lack of heating and sunshine made the Baltimore area a bit more stable than DC.

Subtropics
Absolutely MASSIVE storm in southern MoCo. We should have another few like this this summer, before we get our Major up the 90 degree Chesapeake bay landfalling on the mall in September.
