chietanen
As West Mtn pointed out, it's in the low 60's in POU (up 20 degrees in an hour). And it's 38 IMBY, about 7 miles NNW of the airport.
JerseyWx
Crazy, that blob we had over us broke up into smaller cells that keep producing rain. The main squall isn't even here yet.

LongBeachSurfFreak
Often the strongest winds are out in front of the main squall line. I witnessed this allot living in long beach for 7 years. There is all this anticipation and the the line arrives and winds actually drop

IsentropicLift
The wind is pretty insane currently here. The rain is coming in squalls. Tropical downpours every few minutes followed by mist, wash, rinse, repeat. Some of the flashier rivers around here are starting to rise quickly. I went out for a ride earlier during the thunderstorm. We also had a call around 7 for a house struck by lightning.

IsentropicLift
Shades of the March 2010 system, although that was more of a prolific rainmaker rather than severe. It also had snowmelt involved.

LongBeachSurfFreak
Shades of the March 2010 system, although that was more of a prolific rainmaker rather than severe. It also had snowmelt involved. That was a completely different beast. But definitely one of the better wind events we have seen in a while. Allot of that owes to the unusually direction south. In Manhattan that's the ultimate wind tunnel wind
