THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
DELAWARE
CENTRAL AND EASTERN MARYLAND
SOUTHERN NEW JERSEY
SOUTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA
NORTHERN VIRGINIA
COASTAL WATERS

* EFFECTIVE THIS WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 320 PM
UNTIL 1100 PM EST.

* PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
A FEW TORNADOES AND A COUPLE INTENSE TORNADOES POSSIBLE
SCATTERED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH LIKELY

SUMMARY...A LINE OF STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS WILL QUICKLY PROGRESS
NORTHEASTWARD ACROSS THE MID-ATLANTIC REGION THROUGH THIS EVENING.
DAMAGING WINDS AND A FEW TORNADOES WILL BE THE MAIN HAZARDS.

THE TORNADO WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 75 STATUTE
MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 35 MILES NORTH NORTHWEST OF
PHILADELPHIA PENNSYLVANIA TO 35 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF PATUXENT

Yeah, its the only tornado watch that I can remember this close to us in February.

The only other DJF TOR Watch I believe this close to the region was back on 12/01/06.

I imagine one of the more impressive lines you'll ever see over North Carolina and Virginia considering its February. Several tornado warned storms currently.

Any time of the year!!! There are some INSANE SUPER CELLS DOWN THERE RIGHT NOW

I don't think I have ever seen a tornado warning that big anywhere

And even DC is about to rocked!!!
