CT Rain
~700 j/kg of elevated CAPE on the NAM. That's really impressive for this time of year.
Typhoon Tip
yup, this has a couple appeals to me... could see a some isolated cells out ahead of a S-N orient band associated with the baroclinic axis... They whisk NNE through the area and pound summer like brief down pours and a few of them even pop off the occasional CC/CG. then, as the band moves through an embedded ribbon echo could be intense with blinding rain going sideways and turbines over the trees and roof-tops later on... man, can't put this winter to sleep any faster in my mind. i've never been so checked out, yet saddled simultaneously with the desire to remain objective - stupid pattern could break either way going forward and i wish wish wish it would pull the cord on this life support waste. If we can get that to work in with steeper lapse rates it could be a little interesting perhaps
