Snowman.
It drops quite a bit of QPF before 18z with surface temps around 31-32.
showmethesnow
On the CMC the trough is going neutral farther west and giving some room for the low to intensify quick enough for our region. Hope to see that on the ensembles.

BristowWx
GFS next Tuesday/Wednesday Crocuses, snow drops, daffodils in bloom. Spring here to stay starting Tuesday? So this is the last hurrah perhaps. if there were ever a time to break out the Blue Label it would be if we get more than a cartopper...give this winter a proper send off
yoda
looks a little south..but maybe that's a good thing Its right off of HSE... isn't that around what the GFS has been showing?
stormtracker
I'd take the GGEM...but...it's the GGEM
mitchnick
Its right off of HSE... isn't that around what the GFS has been showing? Ukie was squashing it completely like the prior gfs runs, so this is a good thing imho
RichmondTarHeel
I'd take the GGEM...but...it's the GGEM I'll take it knowing the bullseye will eventually drive Northwest a little as always. Still puts DC in a good spot.

Bob Chill
well now we know what's not going to happen. Other than the para euro, euro, ukie, para gfs, gfs and sometimes the JMA, the CMC is the best model out there.

Bob Chill
I hate it when people diss the dgex like it doesn't even exist What's the dgex? GEFS looking pretty solid. Waiting on QPF maps but a lot of agreement for a measurable snow now.

I count 12 or so of the 20 members giving DCA 2" or more... 4 of those 12 give DCA 6" or more

Scarlet Pimpernel
Don't like the trends today, but not overly surprised the Euro backed off from its solution from last night. Oh well. I think in the end the GFS is way too suppressed most likely, but it's not looking like all that much of an event anymore at this point. Of course, I hope I can take that back tomorrow and things suddenly look good! If the 12Z Euro now comes in looking favorable, I may well have to deliver on this promise! Mind you, I'll do that gladly if we score something like a MECS! But at least it was correct to say the GFS the other day was too suppressed, given what we've seen.
